CLEAN WATER PROJECT
Free Kissan Free Pakistan has been installing large water tanks in various areas of
Pakistan where water is found in scarcity. So far, Free Kissan Free Pakistan has
installed 10 water tanks with long pipelines in Jafferabad, Balochistan providing water to
thousands of farmers in the villages. It has also installed multifunctional hand pumps in
different villages. FKFP has upgraded a traditional well in Thar converting it into a more
efficient & productive water system for the people of Thar. Villagers from Jaffarabad and
Chattar Naseerabad , Thar used to travel 3 to 4 km to fetch a small pan of water but
after these tanks they don’t need to travel 3 to 4 km to bring a small pan. Today around
25,000 villagers are getting water from Free Kissan Free Pakistan operation H20. The
water is tested for quality in the lab. The tanks are maintained through a community
citizenship program.
